As a young child I remember riding the bus observing homes at every stop. In my head I would imagine each with different paint colors like a gift that still needed to be unwrapped. Years and many boxes of crayons later, I put my passion for design to use and graduated from Michigan State University with a degree in Interior Design, I went on to work for Interior Design Concepts and helped many clients transform their spaces. The process usually started with a fresh coat of paint.

Six years and thousands of paint colors later, I discovered my niche for color consulting. It is fun and so satisfying to see happy clients and new colorful spaces. After getting married in 1999, I formed Lesley David Designs and created a studio in my home which allowed me time to take care of my two very active boys… Logan 6 and Cole 2 years old. By far the most asked question in my business is “What paint color should I use?”It is not uncommon to have phone calls from frantic clients asking for help after they just purchased and painted a room and hate it!

Meet Sandi, a contributor of PYS. I first met Sandi at Michigan State University where her ability to organize creatively was evident even back then. Now a wife and mother of 3 year old Olivia, she is putting those skills to good use.

Not only is Sandi a great organizer, but that girl can shop. Yes please welcome PYS’s personal shopper. Sandi will be presenting all of our readers with PYS Finds. Great finds that need to be shared. Sandi is also going to share all of her DIY projects. Bringing chic to the home for less is her specialty. I am thrilled she can join our team and share many exciting finds in the future.
